It’s an incredible time to be in Pompano Beach. If you’ve driven down A1A or Atlantic Boulevard lately, you’ve seen the cranes—this city is truly transforming. We’re moving from a quiet beach town to a world-class luxury destination, and honestly, the scale of these new projects is breathtaking.
From the reimagined “Innovation District” downtown to the high-rise branded residences popping up on the sand, there is so much to be excited about. Here are the major construction projects I’m keeping a close eye on right now.

1. Ritz-Carlton Residences Pompano Beach
Target Completion: Late 2026
Location: 1380 S Ocean Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
This is the big one. The Ritz-Carlton Residences are essentially two different worlds in one project. You have the Beachfront Tower for pure ocean views and the Marina Tower for those of us who love the Intracoastal lifestyle. It’s sitting on nearly five acres, which is almost unheard of for new construction here.
I’m particularly excited about the private yacht club and the “sunrise-to-sunset” amenities. It’s not just a condo building; it’s a massive lifestyle shift for this part of the beach. Seeing the glass go up on these towers really makes you realize how much the Pompano skyline is evolving into something sophisticated and sleek.
2. Downtown Innovation District (Phase 1)
Status: Active Construction/Groundbreaking 2026
Location: West of Dixie Hwy, Near Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33060
The “New Downtown” is finally becoming a reality. The Innovation District is a billion dollar redevelopment designed to give Pompano a walkable, urban core. Right now, work is focused on creating a “live, work, play” environment that will eventually include a new City Hall and a massive civic plaza.
What makes this project special to me is the focus on the arts and tech. We’re seeing the expansion of the Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) area, which is going to bring a whole new energy to the west side. It’s the kind of project that ensures Pompano isn’t just a place to visit the beach, but a place where people can actually build careers and a community.
3. Salato Residences: Boutique Luxury
Target Completion: Spring/Summer 2026
Location: 305 Briny Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
If the massive towers aren’t your speed, Salato is the project to watch. It’s a boutique 9-story building with only 40 residences. I love the scale of this project because it feels much more intimate and private. The terraces here are 14 feet deep, basically outdoor living rooms, which is perfect for our Florida weather.
Construction is moving quickly here, and you can already see the structure taking shape on Briny Avenue. It’s going to feature a high-end restaurant on the ground floor, which will be a fantastic addition to the dining walk near the pier. It’s the perfect example of “quiet luxury” coming to our shoreline.
4. Waldorf Astoria Residences Pompano Beach
Status: Active Construction / Slated for 2027
Location: 1116 N Ocean Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
The Waldorf Astoria name carries a lot of weight, and this 28-story tower is set to be a landmark for the city. This is the first ever stand-alone Waldorf Astoria residential-only project, meaning there is no hotel attached—it’s purely for the residents.
With only 92 units, the level of exclusivity here is going to be off the charts. They are planning a private marina and world-class concierge services that will set a new benchmark for price-per-square-foot in Pompano. It’s a clear signal to the rest of the world that Pompano Beach has officially arrived on the global luxury map.
5. The New Beachfront Concession Kiosk
Target Completion: Spring 2026
Location: 20 N Pompano Beach Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062
Not every major project is a skyscraper! I’m actually really excited about the new beach concession kiosk being built by the team behind Oceanic. They officially broke ground recently, and it’s going to replace the older facilities with something much more modern and accessible.
Expected to open in early 2026, it will offer everything from Greek-themed grab-and-go food to morning coffee and pastries. For those of us who spend our weekends at the Pompano Beach Pier, having a high-quality, affordable spot for a quick bite right on the sand is going to be a total game-changer for the “Beachfront Fishing Village” experience.
Which of these projects are you most excited to see finished? Are you looking for more info on the new residential towers or the downtown redevelopment?
